Morgens satte 19\u00b0, gegen gef\u00fchlte 6\u00b0 in den vergangenen Tagen war schon was, dann stieg das Thermometer auf fiebertr\u00e4chtige 29\u00b0 an, und das im Schatten.<br \/>\nDa muss man sich so richtig umstellen, wenn vor drei Tagen der Winter vorgeherrscht hat.<br \/>\nSo bin ich dann zu dem kleinen historisch gepr\u00e4gten St\u00e4dtchen Jacksonville in der N\u00e4he gefahren.<br \/>\nGegr\u00fcndet wurde es w\u00e4hrend des Goldrushs hier um 1851. In diesem Jahr wurde hier das erste Goldnugget gefunden.<br \/>\nKlein nett aber sehr touristisch war es hier. Viele Gesch\u00e4fte f\u00fcr allerlei, wie Andenken, Keramik, und sogar Werkzeuge findet man hier. In letzteres kommen die Touristen allerdings eher selten rein.<br \/>\nIm Sommer finden hier viele Konzertveranstaltungen in der riesigen Freilichtb\u00fchne statt, leider keins an diesem Wochenende.<br \/>\nNoch einen kleinen R\u00fcckblick auf gestern, neben mir stand ein kanadicher Wohnbus. Ich frage so locker, auch aus BC, das konnte man ja schon auf dem Nummernschild sehen. Und was war, die Leute kannten die Red Willow Ranch, sie hatten eine Lodge ganz in der N\u00e4he, sie hatten damals ihre G\u00e4ste, die reiten wollten zur RWR geschickt und umgekehrt, sind Nichtreiter nach dort geschickt worden, wenn die Ranch belegt war.
