{"id":2119,"date":"2013-06-18T06:03:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-18T04:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/freidling.de\/wordpress\/?p=2119"},"modified":"2013-06-30T08:12:07","modified_gmt":"2013-06-30T06:12:07","slug":"klamath","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/freidling.de\/wordpress\/?p=2119","title":{"rendered":"Klamath"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>17.06.2013<\/strong><br \/>\nLeider musste ich heute Morgen meinen Platz wechseln, ich hatte zu sp\u00e4t verl\u00e4ngert und da war der vorige f\u00fcr die n\u00e4chste Nacht schon vergeben. Der Platz ist heute komplett ausgebucht, mitten in der Woche, h\u00e4tte ich nie gedacht.<br \/>\nSo bninn ich dann die K\u00fcste runter gefahren, zu den Mystery Trees bei Klamath. Es war schon eigenartig, fast faszinierend, die Stra\u00dfe liegt in der Sonne und direkt daneben \u00fcber dem Meer ist dichter Nebel, der sich ebenso schnell verzieht und dann wieder \u00fcber die Stra\u00dfe oder die K\u00fcste wabert.<br \/>\nAuf dme Weg nach K. findet man einen Aussichtspunkt nach dem anderen, viele Pl\u00e4tze, um Fotos zu schie\u00dfen, oder einfach nur schauen und sich von der Felsen und Klippen\u00fcbers\u00e4hten K\u00fcste einfangen zu lassen. Ich m\u00f6chte da nicht auf dem Meer nahe dem Ufer fahren, manche Felsen sieht man ja ganz gut, aber andere ragen mit ihren scharfen Spitzen gerade mal so bis unter die Wasseroberfl\u00e4che, man sieht sie h\u00f6chstens in einem Wellental.<br \/>\nMein erstes Ziel war heute der Leuchtturm in Chrescent City, einer der \u00e4ltesten hier an der K\u00fcste. Er wurde um 1850 gebaut und ist noch mehr oder weniger in Betrieb.<br \/>\nDann ging es weiter zu den Mystery Trees, ein sch\u00f6nes Museum mit interessanten Exponaten aus der Geschichte der hier lebenden Indianer und Trapper. Es liegt am Fu\u00df eines H\u00fcgels, auf den eine Seilbahn emporf\u00fchrt und ein Weg durch die Redwoods zeigt viele Holzschnitzereien mit fantasievollen, teils skurillen Szenen aus dem Alltag der Miner. Hier war ich schon mal vor ein paar Jahren, und so wurden sch\u00f6ne Erinnerungen wieder wach.<br \/>\nDann habe ich endlich das gefunden, was wir vor Jahren vergeblich gesucht haben, den &#8222;Tour Thru Tree&#8220;, einen Redwood, der so gro\u00df ist und in den man ein Tor geschnitzt hat, so dass man mit dem Auto durchfahren kann. Leider fehlten f\u00fcr meinen Truck ein paar Zentimeter auf einer Seite.<br \/>\nEinen ruhigen Picknickplatz mit Aussicht \u00fcber die K\u00fcste habe ich dann genutzt, um mal so richtig zu relaxen.<br \/>\nDie Stra\u00dfe dorthin f\u00fchrt bis auf ca. 200m \u00fcber dem Meer, und neben der Stra\u00dfe in weniger als einem Meter geht es Steil, fast senkrecht abw\u00e4rts bis zum Strand. Da wurde mir schon ganz sch\u00f6n mulmig, zumal keinerlei Begrenzung neben der Stra\u00dfe war.
