Denn die Redwoods, Sequoia Giants der auch Mammutbaum genannt, sind enorm hohe und massige B\u00e4ume. (Wenn ihr die Routenplanung vergr\u00f6\u00dfert, findet ihr den heutigen Ausflug)<br \/>\nSo bin ich dann vom KOA aus nach S\u00fcden nach Crescent City und von der 101 nach Osten zun\u00e4chst in die Elk Valley Rd. und weiter in die Howland Hill Rd., diese f\u00fchrt direkt in den Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park. Zun\u00e4chst wurde die Stra\u00dfe deutlich schmaler und dann gings \u00fcber Schotter weiter, au\u00dfer dem l\u00e4stigen Staub aber gut zu fahren, und der st\u00f6rte nur, wenn ein Fahrzeug entgegenkam. An manchen Stellen war sie allerdings so schmal, dass ich bef\u00fcrchtet habe, nicht durchzukommen. Hier ging&#8217;s dann richtig in die Redwoods. Dachte ich die B\u00e4ume am Rande des Campingplatzes w\u00e4ren schon gro\u00df, hier waren sie h\u00f6her und ihr Umfang betr\u00e4chtlich gr\u00f6\u00dfer. Jeder Baum hatte etwas Besonderes, das ein Foto wert gewesen w\u00e4re, ich musste ausw\u00e4hlen, und so habe ich nur jeden dritten Baum fotografiert.<br \/>\nVon der Stra\u00dfe gingen einige Trails ab, ich habe als erstes, weil ich eben als erstes daran vorbei gekommen bin, den Nickerson-Millcreek-Loop Trail gew\u00e4hlt, ein kleiner aber interessanter Rundweg. Dann wurde ich schon mutiger und meine Schritte f\u00fchrten mich auf den Boy Scout Tree Trail, zu den Fern Falls. Bergauf, bergab f\u00fchrte der Trail und endete direkt am Wasserfall.<br \/>\nEin gut ausgebauter Trampelpfad, \u00fcbers\u00e4ht mit Luftwurzeln. Hin und wieder \u00fcberholt man mal ein paar Wanderer, aber meist ist man allein zwischen den Riesen, h\u00f6rt nur Vogelgezwitscher, das Summen der Bienen und das leichte Rauschen des Windes in den
